I liked this book. I really did. But, I don't know. I found it incredibly slow to start with, and I found it extremely hard to connect with the characters at first. I thought the concept was really good, and the description used by Revis was absolutely fantastic, but I just found it really hard to get into. I did eventually warm to some of the characters, particularly Elder and Amy, but there was still something that I just can't put my finger on and state why I didn't love this book like everyone else seems to. I'm still going to read the next book in the series, as I'm really interested to see what happens next, I just hope that I'll be able to get into that one a lot quicker than I did Across the Universe.
